| CVE-2025-40327 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/core: Fix system hang caused by cpu-clock usage cpu-clock usage by the async-profiler tool can trigger a system hang, which got bisected back to the following commit by Octavia Togami: 18dbcbfabfff ("perf: Fix the POLL_HUP delivery breakage") causes this issue The root cause of the hang is that cpu-clock is a special type of SW event which relies on hrtimers. The __perf_event_overflow() callback is invoked from the hrtimer handler for cpu-clock events, and __perf_event_overflow() tries to call cpu_clock_event_stop() to stop the event, which calls htimer_cancel() to cancel the hrtimer. But that's a recursion into the hrtimer code from a hrtimer handler, which (unsurprisingly) deadlocks. To fix this bug, use hrtimer_try_to_cancel() instead, and set the PERF_HES_STOPPED flag, which causes perf_swevent_hrtimer() to stop the event once it sees the PERF_HES_STOPPED flag. [ mingo: Fixed the comments and improved the changelog. ] | ||||
| CVE-2022-50858 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: alcor: fix return value check of mmc_add_host() mmc_add_host() may return error, if we ignore its return value, the memory that allocated in mmc_alloc_host() will be leaked and it will lead a kernel crash because of deleting not added device in the remove path. So fix this by checking the return value and calling mmc_free_host() in the error path. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rapidio: rio: fix possible name leak in rio_register_mport() If device_register() returns error, the name allocated by dev_set_name() need be freed. It should use put_device() to give up the reference in the error path, so that the name can be freed in kobject_cleanup(), and list_del() is called to delete the port from rio_mports. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: fix potential buffer head reference count leak As in 'jbd2_fc_wait_bufs' if buffer isn't uptodate, will return -EIO without update 'journal->j_fc_off'. But 'jbd2_fc_release_bufs' will release buffer head from ‘j_fc_off - 1’ if 'bh' is NULL will terminal release which will lead to buffer head buffer head reference count leak. | CVE-2022-50833 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: use hdev->workqueue when queuing hdev->{cmd,ncmd}_timer works syzbot is reporting attempt to schedule hdev->cmd_work work from system_wq WQ into hdev->workqueue WQ which is under draining operation [1], for commit c8efcc2589464ac7 ("workqueue: allow chained queueing during destruction") does not allow such operation. The check introduced by commit 877afadad2dce8aa ("Bluetooth: When HCI work queue is drained, only queue chained work") was incomplete. Use hdev->workqueue WQ when queuing hdev->{cmd,ncmd}_timer works because hci_{cmd,ncmd}_timeout() calls queue_work(hdev->workqueue). Also, protect the queuing operation with RCU read lock in order to avoid calling queue_delayed_work() after cancel_delayed_work() completed. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: security: Restrict CONFIG_ZERO_CALL_USED_REGS to gcc or clang > 15.0.6 A bad bug in clang's implementation of -fzero-call-used-regs can result in NULL pointer dereferences (see the links above the check for more information). Restrict CONFIG_CC_HAS_ZERO_CALL_USED_REGS to either a supported GCC version or a clang newer than 15.0.6, which will catch both a theoretical 15.0.7 and the upcoming 16.0.0, which will both have the bug fixed. | ||||

| CVE-2023-53854 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: mediatek: mt8186: Fix use-after-free in driver remove path When devm runs function in the "remove" path for a device it runs them in the reverse order. That means that if you have parts of your driver that aren't using devm or are using "roll your own" devm w/ devm_add_action_or_reset() you need to keep that in mind. The mt8186 audio driver didn't quite get this right. Specifically, in mt8186_init_clock() it called mt8186_audsys_clk_register() and then went on to call a bunch of other devm function. The caller of mt8186_init_clock() used devm_add_action_or_reset() to call mt8186_deinit_clock() but, because of the intervening devm functions, the order was wrong. Specifically at probe time, the order was: 1. mt8186_audsys_clk_register() 2. afe_priv->clk = devm_kcalloc(...) 3. afe_priv->clk[i] = devm_clk_get(...) At remove time, the order (which should have been 3, 2, 1) was: 1. mt8186_audsys_clk_unregister() 3. Free all of afe_priv->clk[i] 2. Free afe_priv->clk The above seemed to be causing a use-after-free. Luckily, it's easy to fix this by simply using devm more correctly. Let's move the devm_add_action_or_reset() to the right place. In addition to fixing the use-after-free, code inspection shows that this fixes a leak (missing call to mt8186_audsys_clk_unregister()) that would have happened if any of the syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandle() calls in mt8186_init_clock() had failed. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: reject negative ifindex Recent changes in net-next (commit 759ab1edb56c ("net: store netdevs in an xarray")) refactored the handling of pre-assigned ifindexes and let syzbot surface a latent problem in ovs. ovs does not validate ifindex, making it possible to create netdev ports with negative ifindex values. It's easy to repro with YNL: $ ./cli.py --spec netlink/specs/ovs_datapath.yaml \ --do new \ --json '{"upcall-pid": 1, "name":"my-dp"}' $ ./cli.py --spec netlink/specs/ovs_vport.yaml \ --do new \ --json '{"upcall-pid": "00000001", "name": "some-port0", "dp-ifindex":3,"ifindex":4294901760,"type":2}' $ ip link show -65536: some-port0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000 link/ether 7a:48:21:ad:0b:fb brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff ... | CVE-2023-53834 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: ina2xx: avoid NULL pointer dereference on OF device match The affected lines were resulting in a NULL pointer dereference on our platform because the device tree contained the following list of compatible strings: power-sensor@40 { compatible = "ti,ina232", "ti,ina231"; ... }; Since the driver doesn't declare a compatible string "ti,ina232", the OF matching succeeds on "ti,ina231". But the I2C device ID info is populated via the first compatible string, cf. modalias population in of_i2c_get_board_info(). Since there is no "ina232" entry in the legacy I2C device ID table either, the struct i2c_device_id *id pointer in the probe function is NULL. Fix this by using the already populated type variable instead, which points to the proper driver data. Since the name is also wanted, add a generic one to the ina2xx_config table. | ||||
