| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ftrace: Fix softlockup in ftrace_module_enable A soft lockup was observed when loading amdgpu module. If a module has a lot of tracable functions, multiple calls to kallsyms_lookup can spend too much time in RCU critical section and with disabled preemption, causing kernel panic. This is the same issue that was fixed in commit d0b24b4e91fc ("ftrace: Prevent RCU stall on PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY kernels") and commit 42ea22e754ba ("ftrace: Add cond_resched() to ftrace_graph_set_hash()"). Fix it the same way by adding cond_resched() in ftrace_module_enable. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: LoongArch: BPF: Disable trampoline for kernel module function trace The current LoongArch BPF trampoline implementation is incompatible with tracing functions in kernel modules. This causes several severe and user-visible problems: * The `bpf_selftests/module_attach` test fails consistently. * Kernel lockup when a BPF program is attached to a module function [1]. * Critical kernel modules like WireGuard experience traffic disruption when their functions are traced with fentry [2]. Given the severity and the potential for other unknown side-effects, it is safest to disable the feature entirely for now. This patch prevents the BPF subsystem from allowing trampoline attachments to kernel module functions on LoongArch. This is a temporary mitigation until the core issues in the trampoline code for kernel module handling can be identified and fixed. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: avoid having an active sc_timer before freeing sci Because kthread_stop did not stop sc_task properly and returned -EINTR, the sc_timer was not properly closed, ultimately causing the problem [1] reported by syzbot when freeing sci due to the sc_timer not being closed. Because the thread sc_task main function nilfs_segctor_thread() returns 0 when it succeeds, when the return value of kthread_stop() is not 0 in nilfs_segctor_destroy(), we believe that it has not properly closed sc_timer. We use timer_shutdown_sync() to sync wait for sc_timer to shutdown, and set the value of sc_task to NULL under the protection of lock sc_state_lock, so as to avoid the issue caused by sc_timer not being properly shutdowned. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vmw_balloon: indicate success when effectively deflating during migration When migrating a balloon page, we first deflate the old page to then inflate the new page. However, if inflating the new page succeeded, we effectively deflated the old page, reducing the balloon size. In that case, the migration actually worked: similar to migrating+ immediately deflating the new page. The old page will be freed back to the buddy. Right now, the core will leave the page be marked as isolated (as we returned an error). When later trying to putback that page, we will run into the WARN_ON_ONCE() in balloon_page_putback(). That handling was changed in commit 3544c4faccb8 ("mm/balloon_compaction: stop using __ClearPageMovable()"); before that change, we would have tolerated that way of handling it. To fix it, let's just return 0 in that case, making the core effectively just clear the "isolated" flag + freeing it back to the buddy as if the migration succeeded. Note that the new page will also get freed when the core puts the last reference. Note that this also makes it all be more consistent: we will no longer unisolate the page in the balloon driver while keeping it marked as being isolated in migration core. This was found by code inspection. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix WARN_ON in tracing_buffers_mmap_close for split VMAs When a VMA is split (e.g., by partial munmap or MAP_FIXED), the kernel calls vm_ops->close on each portion. For trace buffer mappings, this results in ring_buffer_unmap() being called multiple times while ring_buffer_map() was only called once. This causes ring_buffer_unmap() to return -ENODEV on subsequent calls because user_mapped is already 0, triggering a WARN_ON. Trace buffer mappings cannot support partial mappings because the ring buffer structure requires the complete buffer including the meta page. Fix this by adding a may_split callback that returns -EINVAL to prevent VMA splits entirely. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/memfd: fix information leak in hugetlb folios When allocating hugetlb folios for memfd, three initialization steps are missing: 1. Folios are not zeroed, leading to kernel memory disclosure to userspace 2. Folios are not marked uptodate before adding to page cache 3. hugetlb_fault_mutex is not taken before hugetlb_add_to_page_cache() The memfd allocation path bypasses the normal page fault handler (hugetlb_no_page) which would handle all of these initialization steps. This is problematic especially for udmabuf use cases where folios are pinned and directly accessed by userspace via DMA. Fix by matching the initialization pattern used in hugetlb_no_page(): - Zero the folio using folio_zero_user() which is optimized for huge pages - Mark it uptodate with folio_mark_uptodate() - Take hugetlb_fault_mutex before adding to page cache to prevent races The folio_zero_user() change also fixes a potential security issue where uninitialized kernel memory could be disclosed to userspace through read() or mmap() operations on the memfd. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clk: thead: th1520-ap: set all AXI clocks to CLK_IS_CRITICAL The AXI crossbar of TH1520 has no proper timeout handling, which means gating AXI clocks can easily lead to bus timeout and thus system hang. Set all AXI clock gates to CLK_IS_CRITICAL. All these clock gates are ungated by default on system reset. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: fix memory leak in __blkdev_issue_zero_pages Move the fatal signal check before bio_alloc() to prevent a memory leak when BLKDEV_ZERO_KILLABLE is set and a fatal signal is pending. Previously, the bio was allocated before checking for a fatal signal. If a signal was pending, the code would break out of the loop without freeing or chaining the just-allocated bio, causing a memory leak. This matches the pattern already used in __blkdev_issue_write_zeroes() where the signal check precedes the allocation. | ||||
