CVE-2025-40316 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix device use-after-free on unbind A recent change fixed device reference leaks when looking up drm platform device driver data during bind() but failed to remove a partial fix which had been added by commit 80805b62ea5b ("drm/mediatek: Fix kobject put for component sub-drivers"). This results in a reference imbalance on component bind() failures and on unbind() which could lead to a user-after-free. Make sure to only drop the references after retrieving the driver data by effectively reverting the previous partial fix. Note that holding a reference to a device does not prevent its driver data from going away so there is no point in keeping the reference.
CVE-2025-40313 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs3: pretend $Extend records as regular files Since commit af153bb63a33 ("vfs: catch invalid modes in may_open()") requires any inode be one of S_IFDIR/S_IFLNK/S_IFREG/S_IFCHR/S_IFBLK/ S_IFIFO/S_IFSOCK type, use S_IFREG for $Extend records.
CVE-2025-40305 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p/trans_fd: p9_fd_request: kick rx thread if EPOLLIN p9_read_work() doesn't set Rworksched and doesn't do schedule_work(m->rq) if list_empty(&m->req_list). However, if the pipe is full, we need to read more data and this used to work prior to commit aaec5a95d59615 ("pipe_read: don't wake up the writer if the pipe is still full"). p9_read_work() does p9_fd_read() -> ... -> anon_pipe_read() which (before the commit above) triggered the unnecessary wakeup. This wakeup calls p9_pollwake() which kicks p9_poll_workfn() -> p9_poll_mux(), p9_poll_mux() will notice EPOLLIN and schedule_work(&m->rq). This no longer happens after the optimization above, change p9_fd_request() to use p9_poll_mux() instead of only checking for EPOLLOUT.

CVE-2025-40037 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: simplefb: Fix use after free in simplefb_detach_genpds() The pm_domain cleanup can not be devres managed as it uses struct simplefb_par which is allocated within struct fb_info by framebuffer_alloc(). This allocation is explicitly freed by unregister_framebuffer() in simplefb_remove(). Devres managed cleanup runs after the device remove call and thus can no longer access struct simplefb_par. Call simplefb_detach_genpds() explicitly from simplefb_destroy() like the cleanup functions for clocks and regulators. Fixes an use after free on M2 Mac mini during aperture_remove_conflicting_devices() using the downstream asahi kernel with Debian's kernel config. For unknown reasons this started to consistently dereference an invalid pointer in v6.16.3 based kernels. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: Implement settime64 with -EOPNOTSUPP ptp_clock_settime() assumes every ptp_clock has implemented settime64(). Stub it with -EOPNOTSUPP to prevent a NULL dereference.
CVE-2025-40296 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: int3472: Fix double free of GPIO device during unregister regulator_unregister() already frees the associated GPIO device. On ThinkPad X9 (Lunar Lake), this causes a double free issue that leads to random failures when other drivers (typically Intel THC) attempt to allocate interrupts. The root cause is that the reference count of the pinctrl_intel_platform module unexpectedly drops to zero when this driver defers its probe. This behavior can also be reproduced by unloading the module directly. Fix the issue by removing the redundant release of the GPIO device during regulator unregistration.
CVE-2023-54148 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Move representor neigh cleanup to profile cleanup_tx For IP tunnel encapsulation in ECMP (Equal-Cost Multipath) mode, as the flow is duplicated to the peer eswitch, the related neighbour information on the peer uplink representor is created as well. In the cited commit, eswitch devcom unpair is moved to uplink unload API, specifically the profile->cleanup_tx. If there is a encap rule offloaded in ECMP mode, when one eswitch does unpair (because of unloading the driver, for instance), and the peer rule from the peer eswitch is going to be deleted, the use-after-free error is triggered while accessing neigh info, as it is already cleaned up in uplink's profile->disable, which is before its profile->cleanup_tx. To fix this issue, move the neigh cleanup to profile's cleanup_tx callback, and after mlx5e_cleanup_uplink_rep_tx is called. The neigh init is moved to init_tx for symmeter. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/chrome: cros_ec_typec: zero out stale pointers `cros_typec_get_switch_handles` allocates four pointers when obtaining type-c switch handles. These pointers are all freed if failing to obtain any of them; therefore, pointers in `port` become stale. The stale pointers eventually cause use-after-free or double free in later code paths. Zeroing out all pointer fields after freeing to eliminate these stale pointers.

CVE-2022-50652 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: uio: uio_dmem_genirq: Fix missing unlock in irq configuration Commit b74351287d4b ("uio: fix a sleep-in-atomic-context bug in uio_dmem_genirq_irqcontrol()") started calling disable_irq() without holding the spinlock because it can sleep. However, that fix introduced another bug: if interrupt is already disabled and a new disable request comes in, then the spinlock is not unlocked: root@localhost:~# printf '\x00\x00\x00\x00' > /dev/uio0 root@localhost:~# printf '\x00\x00\x00\x00' > /dev/uio0 root@localhost:~# [ 14.851538] BUG: scheduling while atomic: bash/223/0x00000002 [ 14.851991] Modules linked in: uio_dmem_genirq uio myfpga(OE) bochs drm_vram_helper drm_ttm_helper ttm drm_kms_helper drm snd_pcm ppdev joydev psmouse snd_timer snd e1000fb_sys_fops syscopyarea parport sysfillrect soundcore sysimgblt input_leds pcspkr i2c_piix4 serio_raw floppy evbug qemu_fw_cfg mac_hid pata_acpi ip_tables x_tables autofs4 [last unloaded: parport_pc] [ 14.854206] CPU: 0 PID: 223 Comm: bash Tainted: G OE 6.0.0-rc7 #21 [ 14.854786] Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS rel-1.16.0-0-gd239552ce722-prebuilt.qemu.org 04/01/2014 [ 14.855664] Call Trace: [ 14.855861] <TASK> [ 14.856025] dump_stack_lvl+0x4d/0x67 [ 14.856325] dump_stack+0x14/0x1a [ 14.856583] __schedule_bug.cold+0x4b/0x5c [ 14.856915] __schedule+0xe81/0x13d0 [ 14.857199] ? idr_find+0x13/0x20 [ 14.857456] ? get_work_pool+0x2d/0x50 [ 14.857756] ? __flush_work+0x233/0x280 [ 14.858068] ? __schedule+0xa95/0x13d0 [ 14.858307] ? idr_find+0x13/0x20 [ 14.858519] ? get_work_pool+0x2d/0x50 [ 14.858798] schedule+0x6c/0x100 [ 14.859009] schedule_hrtimeout_range_clock+0xff/0x110 [ 14.859335] ? tty_write_room+0x1f/0x30 [ 14.859598] ? n_tty_poll+0x1ec/0x220 [ 14.859830] ? tty_ldisc_deref+0x1a/0x20 [ 14.860090] schedule_hrtimeout_range+0x17/0x20 [ 14.860373] do_select+0x596/0x840 [ 14.860627] ? __kernel_text_address+0x16/0x50 [ 14.860954] ? poll_freewait+0xb0/0xb0 [ 14.861235] ? poll_freewait+0xb0/0xb0 [ 14.861517] ? rpm_resume+0x49d/0x780 [ 14.861798] ? common_interrupt+0x59/0xa0 [ 14.862127] ? asm_common_interrupt+0x2b/0x40 [ 14.862511] ? __uart_start.isra.0+0x61/0x70 [ 14.862902] ? __check_object_size+0x61/0x280 [ 14.863255] core_sys_select+0x1c6/0x400 [ 14.863575] ? vfs_write+0x1c9/0x3d0 [ 14.863853] ? vfs_write+0x1c9/0x3d0 [ 14.864121] ? _copy_from_user+0x45/0x70 [ 14.864526] do_pselect.constprop.0+0xb3/0xf0 [ 14.864893] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.865228] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.865556] __x64_sys_pselect6+0x76/0xa0 [ 14.865906] do_syscall_64+0x60/0x90 [ 14.866214] ? syscall_exit_to_user_mode+0x2a/0x50 [ 14.866640] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.866972] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.867286] ? do_syscall_64+0x6d/0x90 [ 14.867626] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0xcd [...] stripped [ 14.872959] </TASK> ('myfpga' is a simple 'uio_dmem_genirq' driver I wrote to test this) The implementation of "uio_dmem_genirq" was based on "uio_pdrv_genirq" and it is used in a similar manner to the "uio_pdrv_genirq" driver with respect to interrupt configuration and handling. At the time "uio_dmem_genirq" was introduced, both had the same implementation of the 'uio_info' handlers irqcontrol() and handler(). Then commit 34cb27528398 ("UIO: Fix concurrency issue"), which was only applied to "uio_pdrv_genirq", ended up making them a little different. That commit, among other things, changed disable_irq() to disable_irq_nosync() in the implementation of irqcontrol(). The motivation there was to avoid a deadlock between irqcontrol() and handler(), since it added a spinlock in the irq handler, and disable_irq() waits for the completion of the irq handler. By changing disable_irq() to disable_irq_nosync() in irqcontrol(), we also avoid the sleeping-whil ---truncated---
CVE-2022-50645 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: EDAC/i10nm: fix refcount leak in pci_get_dev_wrapper() As the comment of pci_get_domain_bus_and_slot() says, it returns a PCI device with refcount incremented, so it doesn't need to call an extra pci_dev_get() in pci_get_dev_wrapper(), and the PCI device needs to be put in the error path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: mm: add missing memcpy in kasan_init Hi Atish, It seems that the panic is due to the missing memcpy during kasan_init. Could you please check whether this patch is helpful? When doing kasan_populate, the new allocated base_pud/base_p4d should contain kasan_early_shadow_{pud, p4d}'s content. Add the missing memcpy to avoid page fault when read/write kasan shadow region. Tested on: - qemu with sv57 and CONFIG_KASAN on. - qemu with sv48 and CONFIG_KASAN on.
