CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gpio: pch: use raw_spinlock_t for the register lock
pch_irq_type() is registered as the irq_chip .irq_set_type callback and
takes chip->spinlock with spin_lock_irqsave(). This callback is reached
from __setup_irq() -> __irq_set_trigger() -> chip->irq_set_type() while
the caller holds desc->lock, a raw_spinlock_t, with hardirqs disabled.
That context is not sleepable, but on PREEMPT_RT a regular spinlock_t is
an rtmutex-backed sleeping lock, so acquiring it there is invalid.
This was confirmed on a PREEMPT_RT kernel with lockdep
(PROVE_RAW_LOCK_NESTING and DEBUG_ATOMIC_SLEEP). A grounded PoC mirrored
pch_irq_type()'s locking and drove it through the real genirq carrier
irq_set_irq_type() -> __irq_set_trigger() -> chip->irq_set_type(), i.e.
the same __irq_set_trigger() edge that __setup_irq() takes for a
requested IRQ. With the original spin_lock_irqsave() edge lockdep
reported an invalid wait context, immediately followed by:
BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at kernel/locking/spinlock_rt.c:48
in_atomic(): 1, irqs_disabled(): 1, non_block: 0, pid: 95, name: insmod
hardirqs last disabled at (3784): _raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x4f/0x60
rt_spin_lock+0x3a/0x1c0
repro_irq_set_type+0x64/0xa0 [pch_repro]
__irq_set_trigger+0x69/0x140
irq_set_irq_type+0x78/0xd0
Switching the mirrored lock to raw_spinlock_t made both splats go away.
Convert the register lock to raw_spinlock_t. The same lock also
serializes the GPIO direction/value callbacks and the suspend/resume
register save/restore, but all of those critical sections only perform
MMIO register accesses (ioread32()/iowrite32()) and
irq_set_handler_locked(); none of them contain sleepable operations.
Keeping this register lock non-sleeping is therefore appropriate for the
irqchip callbacks and does not change the GPIO-side locking contract.
This is the same class of issue and fix as recently addressed for other
GPIO controllers, e.g. commit 286533cb14a3 ("gpio: sch: use raw_spinlock_t
in the irq startup path") and commit 90f0109019e6 ("gpio: eic-sprd: use
raw_spinlock_t in the irq startup path"). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
spi: xilinx: use FIFO occupancy register to determine buffer size
The method the driver uses to determine the size of the FIFO has a
problem. What it currently does is this:
It stops the SPI hardware and writes to the TX FIFO register until TX
FIFO FULL asserts in the status register. But the hardware does not only
have the FIFO, it also has a shift register which can hold a byte. This
can be seen, when writing a byte to the FIFO (while the SPI hardware is
stopped,) the TX FIFO EMPTY is still empty. So, if we have a FIFO size
of 16 for example, the current method returns a 17.
This is a problem, at least when using the driver in irq mode. The same
size determined for the TX FIFO is also assumed for the RX FIFO. When a
SPI transaction wants to write the amount of the FIFO size or more
bytes, the following happens, for example with 16 bytes FIFO size:
The driver stops the SPI hardware and writes 17 bytes to the TX FIFO and
starts the SPI hardware and goes sleep.
The hardware then shifts out 17 bytes (FIFO + shift register) and
simultaneously reads bytes into the RX FIFO, but it only has 16 places,
so it looses one byte. Then TX FIFO empty asserts, wakes the driver
again, which has a fast path and reads 16 bytes from the RX FIFO, but
before reading the last 17th byte (which is lost) it does this:
sr = xspi->read_fn(xspi->regs + XSPI_SR_OFFSET);
if (!(sr & XSPI_SR_RX_EMPTY_MASK)) {
xilinx_spi_rx(xspi);
rx_words--;
}
It reads the status register and checks if the RX FIFO is not empty.
But it is empty in our case. So this check spins in a while loop
forever locking the driver.
This patch fixes the logic to determine the FIFO size. |
| Streambert is a cross-platform Electron Desktop App to stream and download video content. Versions prior to 2.5.0 improperly validate executable paths supplied to the run-download IPC handler, allowing a compromised renderer process to execute arbitrary local binaries with the application’s privileges. Version 2.5.0 contains a patch. |
| Exposed dangerous method or function in Azure Confidential Ledger allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in H3C NX15 V100R017. Affected is the function service.add of the file /api/esps of the component Web API. Such manipulation leads to exposed dangerous routine. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure. |
| In apusys, there is a possible escalation of privilege due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege if a malicious actor has already obtained the System privilege. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: AUTO00837766; Issue ID: MSV-6767. |
| The AI Engine WordPress plugin before 3.5.5 does not sanitize a user-supplied filename before using it to write a downloaded file, allowing authenticated users with editor-level access to write attacker-controlled bytes to an arbitrary location on the server via path traversal. |
| A reboot of the charging controller can be triggered via Modbus TCP without authentication. Therefore, when the Modbus functionality is enabled by opening the port that CharxModbusServer is listening, an unauthenticated attacker can perform a Denial-of-Service attack. |
| Vitest is a testing framework powered by Vite. From 3.0.0 until 3.2.5, 4.1.8, and 5.0.0-beta.4, Vitest Browser Mode exposed a cdp() API that forwarded raw Chrome DevTools Protocol methods without being gated by allowWrite or allowExec, allowing a remote client with exposed browser API metadata to use CDP Page.setDownloadBehavior and Runtime.evaluate to overwrite vite.config.ts and execute attacker-controlled Node.js code. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.5, 4.1.8, and 5.0.0-beta. |
| webpack-dev-server versions 5.2.5 and earlier expose two internal developer endpoints, /webpack-dev-server/open-editor and /webpack-dev-server/invalidate, that perform state-changing actions on any GET request without verifying that the request originated from the dev server's own page. Any website a developer visits while the dev server is running can trigger these endpoints cross-origin with no interaction beyond the visit. An attacker can open an arbitrary existing local file in the developer's editor, including files outside the project root, and repeated requests can spawn editor processes and force recompilations that degrade the developer's machine. Patches: upgrade to webpack-dev-server 5.2.6. Workarounds: none. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: qat - remove unused character device and IOCTLs
The QAT driver exposes a character device (qat_adf_ctl) with IOCTLs
for device configuration, start, stop, status query and enumeration.
These IOCTLs are not part of any public uAPI header and have no known
in-tree or out-of-tree users. Device lifecycle is already managed via
sysfs.
The ioctl interface also increases the attack surface and is the
subject of a number of bug reports.
Remove the character device, the IOCTL definitions, and the related
data structures (adf_dev_status_info, adf_user_cfg_key_val,
adf_user_cfg_section, adf_user_cfg_ctl_data). Drop the now-unused
adf_cfg_user.h header and strip adf_ctl_drv.c down to the minimal
module_init/module_exit hooks for workqueue, AER, and crypto/compression
algorithm registration.
Clean up leftover dead code that was only reachable from the removed
IOCTL paths: adf_cfg_del_all(), adf_devmgr_verify_id(),
adf_devmgr_get_num_dev(), adf_devmgr_get_dev_by_id(),
adf_get_vf_real_id() and the unused ADF_CFG macros.
Additionally, drop the entry associated to QAT IOCTLs in
ioctl-number.rst. |
| Penpot is an open-source design tool for design and code collaboration. Prior to 2.15.0, Penpot MCP's mcp/packages/server/src/ReplServer.ts bound the ReplServer to 0.0.0.0:4403 and exposed an unauthenticated /execute endpoint that passed the code field to PluginBridge.executePluginTask(), allowing anyone on the network to execute JavaScript on the server. This issue is fixed in version 2.15.0. |
| Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) Spoofing Vulnerability |
| ownCloud Core is the server-side component of the file storage, synchronization, and sharing application ownCloud Classic. In versions prior to 10.15.3, the Updater on ownCloud 10 before 10.15.3 has an exposed dangerous method or function. Attackers with administrative privileges may leverage functionality to execute arbitrary code. This issue has been fixed in version 10.15.3. |
| Nx is a monorepo solution for TypeScript and polyglot codebases. From 17.0.4 until 22.7.2 and 23.0.0-beta.2, the local HTTP server started by nx graph sent Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * on every response, letting any website a developer visited read the server's responses cross-origin — including the full project graph and the output of the /help endpoint, which runs a target's configured help command. The practical impact is typically cross-origin information disclosure, but can be arbitrary command injection in rare cases. This vulnerability is fixed in 22.7.2 and 23.0.0-beta.2. |
| Appsmith is a platform to build admin panels, internal tools, and dashboards. Prior to 2.1, the bundled Caddy reverse-proxy's admin API — which has no authentication by default — is bound on 0.0.0.0:2019 inside the container. While this listener is not directly published to the host by docker-compose.yml, it is reachable from the Appsmith server process itself or a SSRF vulnerability. An authenticated low-privileged user can therefore drive the SSRF to issue POST /load (or any other admin-API call) against http://0.0.0.0:2019/, fully replacing the live Caddy configuration and taking over the reverse proxy. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1. |
| Starlette is a lightweight ASGI framework/toolkit. In versions 1.0.1 and below, when dispatching a request, HTTPEndpoint selects the handler by lowercasing the HTTP method and looking it up as an attribute with getattr, without restricting the lookup to a known set of HTTP verbs. When an HTTPEndpoint subclass is registered through Route(...) without an explicit methods= argument, the route does not constrain the method and every method reaches the endpoint. If a non-standard HTTP method whose lowercased name matches an attribute on the endpoint subclass reaches the endpoint, that attribute is invoked as if it were a request handler. An attacker can use this to reach methods that were never meant to be HTTP handlers, such as internal helpers, without the authorization checks applied by the intended public handler. An application (including Starlette-based frameworks like FastAPI) is affected if it registers an HTTPEndpoint subclass via Route(...) without explicitly setting methods=, and that subclass includes extra methods named like non-standard HTTP verbs that take one request argument and return a response. This issue has been fixed in version 1.1.0. |
| Postiz is an AI social media scheduling tool. Versions prior to 2.21.8 contained an unauthenticated endpoint that accepted a signed token and applied subscription-enforcement side effects to the organization referenced in that token's claims, without verifying the token's intended purpose. The endpoint, /public/modify-subscription, could not change the persisted subscription tier, but it did execute enforcement-related side effects on the caller's own organization, including adjusting team-member enablement state, disabling integrations exceeding the asserted plan's limits, and resetting the scheduled-post cron when the asserted plan was the free tier. Impact is limited to the attacker's own organization and cannot be redirected at other tenants through this endpoint. This issue has been fixed in version 2.21.8. |
| Nuxt is an open-source web development framework for Vue.js. In @nuxt/rspack-builder and @nuxt/webpack-builder from versions 3.15.4 to before 3.21.7 and 4.0.0 to before 4.4.7, there is an incomplete fix for GHSA-6m52-m754-pw2g. Source code may still be stolen during dev when using the webpack / rspack builder if the dev server is bound to a non-loopback address (e.g. nuxt dev --host) and the developer opens a malicious site on the same network. This issue has been patched in versions 3.21.7 and 4.4.7. |
| Nuxt is an open-source web development framework for Vue.js. In @nuxt/rspack-builder and @nuxt/webpack-builder versions 3.15.4 to before 3.21.6, and 4.0.0-alpha.1 to before 4.4.6, there is an incomplete fix for GHSA-4gf7-ff8x-hq99. Source code may be stolen during dev when using the webpack / rspack builder if the dev server is bound to a non-loopback address (e.g. nuxt dev --host) and the developer opens a malicious site on the same network. This issue has been patched in versions 3.21.6 and 4.4.6. |
