| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_dup_netdev: add nf_dev_xmit_recursion*() helpers and use them
Update nft_dup and nft_fwd to use the nf_dev_xmit_recursion() helpers.
This patch also disables BH when transmitting the skb to address a
possible migration to different CPU leading to imbalanced decrementation
of the recursion counters.
This is modeled after Florian Westphal's dev_xmit_recursion*() API
available since commit 97cdcf37b57e ("net: place xmit recursion in
softnet data") according to its current state in the tree. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/panthor: Always use the IRQ-safe variant when acquiring the fence lock
Since dma_fence objects can be shared with other subsystems, they may be
accessed from hardirq context in those drivers, and we have to take
that into account by also using the IRQ-safe variant when acquiring
the lock.
While at it, switch to the guard model. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvdimm/btt: Free arena sub-allocations on discover_arenas() error path
Memory allocated by btt_freelist_init(), btt_rtt_init(), and
btt_maplocks_init() is not freed on some discover_arenas() error
paths. This leaks memory when arena discovery fails.
Add the missing kfree() calls to release the allocations before
returning an error.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
userfaultfd: gate must_wait writability check on pte_present()
userfaultfd_must_wait() and userfaultfd_huge_must_wait() read the PTE
without taking the page table lock and then apply pte_write() /
huge_pte_write() to it. Those accessors decode bits from the present
encoding only; on a swap or migration entry they read the offset bits that
happen to share the same position and return an undefined result.
The intent of the check is "is this fault still WP-blocked?". A
non-marker swap entry means the page is in transit -- the userfault
context the original fault delivered against is no longer the same, and
the swap-in or migration completion path will re-deliver a fresh fault if
userspace still needs to handle it. Worst case under the current code the
garbage write bit says "wait", and the thread stays asleep until a
UFFDIO_WAKE that may never arrive.
Gate the writability check on pte_present() so the lockless re-check only
inspects present-PTE bits when the entry is actually present. The
non-present, non-marker case returns "don't wait" and lets the fault path
retry. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mana: Fix race on per-CQ variable napi work_done
After calling napi_complete_done(), the NAPIF_STATE_SCHED bit may be
cleared, and another CPU can start napi thread and access per-CQ variable,
cq->work_done. If the other thread (for example, from busy_poll) sets
it to a value >= budget, this thread will continue to run when it should
stop, and cause memory corruption and panic.
To fix this issue, save the per-CQ work_done variable in a local variable
before napi_complete_done(), so it won't be corrupted by a possible
concurrent thread after napi_complete_done().
Also, add a flag bit to advertise to the NIC firmware: the NAPI work_done
variable race is fixed, so the driver is able to reliably support features
like busy_poll. |
