CVSS v3.1 |
| Use of hard-coded cryptographic key issue exists in "Kura Sushi Official App Produced by EPARK" for Android versions prior to 3.8.5. If this vulnerability is exploited, a local attacker may obtain the login ID and password for the affected product. |
| A vulnerability has been found in running-elephant Datart up to 1.0.0-rc3. Affected by this issue is the function getTokensecret of the file datart/security/src/main/java/datart/security/util/AESUtil.java of the component API. The manipulation leads to use of hard-coded cryptographic key
. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The attack is considered to have high complexity. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. |
| A static initialization vector (IV) in the encrypt function of netbird management's service from v0.23.2 to v0.29.1 allows attackers to obtain sensitive information (email addresses) when in possession of the audit events database. |
| Use of hard-coded cryptographic key vulnerability in i-PRO Configuration Tool affects the network system for i-PRO Co., Ltd. surveillance cameras and recorders. This vulnerability allows a local authenticated attacker to use the authentication information from the last connected surveillance cameras and recorders. |
| The NXP Data Co-Processor (DCP) is a built-in hardware module for specific NXP SoCs¹ that implements a dedicated AES cryptographic engine for encryption/decryption operations. The dcp_tool reference implementation included in the repository selected the test key, regardless of its `-t` argument. This issue has been patched in commit 26a7. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager (6GT2780-0DA00) (All versions < V3.0.1.1), SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager (6GT2780-0DA10) (All versions < V3.0.1.1), SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager (6GT2780-0DA20) (All versions < V3.0.1.1), SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager (6GT2780-0DA30) (All versions < V3.0.1.1), SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager (6GT2780-1EA10) (All versions < V3.0.1.1), SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager (6GT2780-1EA20) (All versions < V3.0.1.1), SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager (6GT2780-1EA30) (All versions < V3.0.1.1). The affected systems use symmetric cryptography with a hard-coded key to protect the communication between client and server. This could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to compromise confidentiality and integrity of the communication and, subsequently, availability of the system.
A successful exploit requires the attacker to gain knowledge of the hard-coded key and to be able to intercept the communication between client and server on the network. |

A hard-coded AES key vulnerability was reported in the Motorola GuideMe application, along with a lack of URI sanitation, could allow for a local attacker to read arbitrary files.

| The Video Conferencing with Zoom plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure due to hardcoded encryption key on the 'vczapi_encrypt_decrypt' function in versions up to, and including, 4.2.1. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to decrypt and view the meeting id and password. |
| The EmbedPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure due to hardcoded encryption key on the 'lock_content_form_handler' and 'display_password_form' function in versions up to, and including, 3.7.3. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to decrypt and view the password protected content. |
| The ProfileGrid plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized decryption of private information in versions up to, and including, 5.5.0. This is due to the passphrase and iv being hardcoded in the 'pm_encrypt_decrypt_pass' function and used across all sites running the plugin. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level permissions or above to decrypt and view users' passwords. If combined with another vulnerability, this can potentially grant lower-privileged users access to users' passwords. |
| The Civi - Job Board & Freelance Marketplace WordPress Theme plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.4 via hard-coded credentials. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to extract sensitive data including LinkedIn client and secret keys. |
| A vulnerability was determined in hcengineering Huly Platform 0.7.382. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file foundations/core/packages/token/src/token.ts of the component JWT Token Handler. This manipulation of the argument SERVER_SECRET with the input secret causes use of hard-coded cryptographic key
. The attack can be initiated remotely. The attack is considered to have high complexity. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A Use of Hard-Coded Cryptographic Key issue was discovered in Hyundai Motor America Blue Link 3.9.5 and 3.9.4. The application uses a hard-coded decryption password to protect sensitive user information. |
| In RUCKUS Network Director (RND) < 4.5.0.56, the OVA appliance contains hardcoded SSH keys for the postgres user. These keys are identical across all deployments, allowing an attacker with network access to authenticate via SSH without a password. Once authenticated, the attacker can access the PostgreSQL database with superuser privileges, create administrative users for the web interface, and potentially escalate privileges further. |
| A hardcoded cryptographic key within the configuration mechanism on TP-Link Archer NX200, NX210, NX500 and NX600 enables decryption and re-encryption of device configuration data. An authenticated attacker may decrypt configuration files, modify them, and re-encrypt them, affecting the confidentiality and integrity of device configuration data. |
| NATS.io is a high performance open source pub-sub distributed communication technology, built for the cloud, on-premise, IoT, and edge computing. The cryptographic key handling library, nkeys, recently gained support for encryption, not just for signing/authentication. This is used in nats-server 2.10 (Sep 2023) and newer for authentication callouts. In nkeys versions 0.4.0 through 0.4.5, corresponding with NATS server versions 2.10.0 through 2.10.3, the nkeys library's `xkeys` encryption handling logic mistakenly passed an array by value into an internal function, where the function mutated that buffer to populate the encryption key to use. As a result, all encryption was actually to an all-zeros key. This affects encryption only, not signing.
FIXME: FILL IN IMPACT ON NATS-SERVER AUTH CALLOUT SECURITY. nkeys Go library 0.4.6, corresponding with NATS Server 2.10.4, has a patch for this issue. No known workarounds are available. For any application handling auth callouts in Go, if using the nkeys library, update the dependency, recompile and deploy that in lockstep. |
| Use of a hard-coded AES-256-CBC key in the configuration backup/restore implementation of Small Cell Sercomm SCE4255W (FreedomFi Englewood) firmware before DG3934v3@2308041842 allows remote authenticated users to decrypt, modify, and re-encrypt device configurations, enabling credential manipulation and privilege escalation via the GUI import/export functions. |
| Intumit SmartRobot uses a fixed encryption key for authentication. Remote attackers can use this key to encrypt a string composed of the user's name and timestamp to generate an authentication code. With this authentication code, they can obtain administrator privileges and subsequently execute arbitrary code on the remote server using built-in system functionality. |
| Enterprise Cloud Database developed by Ragic has a Hard-coded Cryptographic Key vulnerability, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to exploit the fixed key to generate verification information and log into the system as any user. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 26.0.0.2 IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty could provide weaker than expected security when using the Security Utility when administering security settings. |
