CVSS v3.1 |
| A vulnerability has been identified in the libarchive library. This flaw involves an 'off-by-one' miscalculation when handling prefixes and suffixes for file names. This can lead to a 1-byte write overflow. While seemingly small, such an overflow can corrupt adjacent memory, leading to unpredictable program behavior, crashes, or in specific circumstances, could be leveraged as a building block for more sophisticated exploitation. This bug affects libarchive versions prior to 3.8.0. |
| A flaw was found in Rust's Ring package. A panic may be triggered when overflow checking is enabled. In the QUIC protocol, this flaw allows an attacker to induce this panic by sending a specially crafted packet. It will likely occur unintentionally in 1 out of every 2**32 packets sent or received. |
| There's a vulnerability in the libssh package where when a libssh consumer passes in an unexpectedly large input buffer to ssh_get_fingerprint_hash() function. In such cases the bin_to_base64() function can experience an integer overflow leading to a memory under allocation, when that happens it's possible that the program perform out of bounds write leading to a heap corruption.
This issue affects only 32-bits builds of libssh. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the libopensc OpenPGP driver. A crafted USB device or smart card with malicious responses to the APDUs during the card enrollment process using the `pkcs15-init` tool may lead to out-of-bound rights, possibly resulting in arbitrary code execution. |
| Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. Prior to 8.9.6.1, the <Command> tag text content inside <UserDefinedCommands> in shortcuts.xml is read by NppXml::value(aNode) (Parameters.cpp:3658) in the feedUserCmds() function and stored in UserCommand._cmd without any validation. When the user clicks the corresponding entry in the Run menu, NppCommands.cpp:4264 creates a Command object with string2wstring(ucmd.getCmd()) and calls run(), which invokes ShellExecute (RunDlg.cpp:221) with the attacker-controlled string as the executable path. The injected command appears as a normal menu item in the Run menu, making it a viable persistence mechanism. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.9.6.1. |
| Flowise before 3.0.6 contains an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the chatId parameter of the /api/v1/get-upload-file and /api/v1/openai-assistants-file/download endpoints. The chatId value is not validated and is passed to streamStorageFile(), where a fallback file-lookup path constructed without the orgId is evaluated after the storage-directory containment check, allowing path traversal beyond the intended storage directory. Unauthenticated attackers can read sensitive files such as /root/.flowise/database.sqlite, exposing all database content in the default configuration. |
| The Node.js package browserstack-local 1.5.8 contains a command injection vulnerability. This occurs because the logfile variable is not properly sanitized in lib/Local.js. |
| The MIR blocks and shortcodes plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'title' attribute (and other attributes such as 'ready_animation_text') of the 'msc_stats' shortcode in versions up to, and including, 1.0.0. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied shortcode attributes inside the msc_stats() rendering function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. |
| Mismatched Memory Management Routines vulnerability in Apache Thrift c_glib language bindings.
This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.23.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.23.0, which fixes the issue.
Description: Specially crafted requests can crash an c_glib-based Thrift server with a clean but fatal "free(): invalid pointer" error message. |
| If an attacker causes kdcproxy to connect to an attacker-controlled KDC server (e.g. through server-side request forgery), they can exploit the fact that kdcproxy does not enforce bounds on TCP response length to conduct a denial-of-service attack. While receiving the KDC's response, kdcproxy copies the entire buffered stream into a new
buffer on each recv() call, even when the transfer is incomplete, causing excessive memory allocation and CPU usage. Additionally, kdcproxy accepts incoming response chunks as long as the received data length is not exactly equal to the length indicated in the response
header, even when individual chunks or the total buffer exceed the maximum length of a Kerberos message. This allows an attacker to send unbounded data until the connection timeout is reached (approximately 12 seconds), exhausting server memory or CPU resources. Multiple concurrent requests can cause accept queue overflow, denying service to legitimate clients. |
| A flaw was found in polkit. When processing an XML policy with 32 or more nested elements in depth, an out-of-bounds write can be triggered. This issue can lead to a crash or other unexpected behavior, and arbitrary code execution is not discarded. To exploit this flaw, a high-privilege account is needed as it's required to place the malicious policy file properly. |
| A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been reported to affect several QNAP operating system versions. The remote attackers can then exploit the vulnerability to bypass security mechanisms or read application data.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following versions:
QTS 5.2.9.3492 build 20260507 and later
QuTS hero h5.2.9.3499 build 20260514 and later
QuTS hero h5.3.4.3500 build 20260520 and later
QuTS hero h6.0.0.3500 build 20260520 and later |
| A command injection vulnerability has been reported to affect several QNAP operating system versions. If a remote attacker gains an administrator account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following versions:
QTS 5.2.9.3492 build 20260507 and later
QuTS hero h5.2.9.3499 build 20260514 and later |
| A flaw was found in libsoup. The libsoup soup_uri_decode_data_uri() function may crash when processing malformed data URI. This flaw allows an attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS). |
| A flaw was found in libsoup. The SoupWebsocketConnection may accept a large WebSocket message, which may cause libsoup to allocate memory and lead to a denial of service (DoS). |
| A flaw was found in the OpenSSH package. For each ping packet the SSH server receives, a pong packet is allocated in a memory buffer and stored in a queue of packages. It is only freed when the server/client key exchange has finished. A malicious client may keep sending such packages, leading to an uncontrolled increase in memory consumption on the server side. Consequently, the server may become unavailable, resulting in a denial of service attack. |
| luci-proto-openvpn through 0.11.1, fixed in commit e4ff45e, contains a command injection vulnerability in the generateKey ubus method where the cl_meta parameter is interpolated into a shell command without proper escaping or quoting. An authenticated LuCI user with OpenVPN protocol configuration access can inject arbitrary shell metacharacters into cl_meta to execute commands as root via the popen function. |
| A flaw was discovered in libvirt in the XML file processing. More specifically, the parsing of user provided XML files was performed before the ACL checks. A malicious user with limited permissions could exploit this flaw by submitting a specially crafted XML file, causing libvirt to allocate too much memory on the host. The excessive memory consumption could lead to a libvirt process crash on the host, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. |
| When reading data from a hfs filesystem, grub's hfs filesystem module uses user-controlled parameters from the filesystem metadata to calculate the internal buffers size, however it misses to properly check for integer overflows. A maliciouly crafted filesystem may lead some of those buffer size calculation to overflow, causing it to perform a grub_malloc() operation with a smaller size than expected. As a result the hfsplus_open_compressed_real() function will write past of the internal buffer length. This flaw may be leveraged to corrupt grub's internal critical data and may result in arbitrary code execution by-passing secure boot protections. |
| A flaw was found in Keylime, a remote attestation solution, where strict type checking introduced in version 7.12.0 prevents the registrar from reading database entries created by previous versions, for example, 7.11.0. Specifically, older versions store agent registration data as bytes, whereas the updated registrar expects str. This issue leads to an exception when processing agent registration requests, causing the agent to fail. |
